I assume this sponsorship open-ended with the intention of supporting the child until the end of its school career if possible. The sponsorship may be terminated in writing without a specific reason at any time. I am aware that advance payments can not be refunded. Any surplus from favourable exchange rates will be allocated to the Emergency Fund, e.g. for cancelled sponsorships.

Tax Receipt Required?



Tax receipts are generally issued to sponsors after the end of a year, but not earlier than six weeks after the sponsorship amount has been credited because of the return period for direct debits. Watoto e.V. is registered as a charity organisation eligible for tax exempt by German tax authorities. This sponsorship does not create a membership at Watoto e.V.
